Spanish Leaders Gather

Sixty-three pastors and ministry leaders met for fellowship around music, food, ministry training, and biblical teaching. Oh, and miniature golf. The theme: Abide (John 15).

It's become an annual thing. Koinonia. The third gathering of its kind. Twice in Jacksonville, Florida, this year in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Hosted by Christ Community Church (EFCA). Led by Pastor Hugo Concha and Pastor Alex Rivero, co-directors of the Evangelical Free Church of America's Hispanic ministries and organized by Pastor Josh Cassellius (Pinehurst), Pastor Tito Ruiz (Atlanta) and Gissella Concha Contreras (Jacksonville), and assisted by many more. Special guest April Warfield was in attendance. April is the EFCA's multicultural ministries director.

Family. The intimacy and depth of koinonia (fellowship) was obvious, encouraging, refreshing and invigorating. Participants leave hopeful and better equipped for future ministry. And they're already making plans for Koinonia 2025. They're thinking of a return trip to Pinehurst but those details are still in the making.
